Who: Everyone - Narrative
Where: Town Hall
When: Noon
Why: Town Meeting

The large meeting hall was packed with the citizens that had made Elysium their home. Theora stood before them, with Dylan and Constance by her side, and waited until the crowd settled down into their seats for the meeting to begin. The priestess knew that many of the people would have rather been outdoors on such a lovely day, but what they had to discuss was of great importance and it did involve every person that lived within the valley. People trickled in slowly, their voices whispering to one another as they wondered what the meeting was going to cover. Was their home in danger? Were they going to run out of food? Did the virus make its way inside? All of these questions traveled through the air to Theora's sensitive ears. She smiled at both Dylan and Constance who watched the crowd just as carefully as Theora did.

Theora began to speak when most of the citizenry had gathered and taken their seats. Their eyes and ears were focused on the elven priestess and the other council members. "It is good to see that many of you have decided to join us on this lovely day. I assure you that we will not take up any more of your time than is necessary, but we believe that it is important for you all to know some of the things that the council has discussed."

There was a soft murmuring in the crowd that subsided after a few moments when Theora continued her speech. "With the recent quiet that we have experienced the council believes that it may be the most opportune time to venture beyond our mountains." Some of the murmurs turned into gasps and others began to protest. Theora raised a hand to calm the crowd and when their voices subsided the priestess continued. "We believe that the war has finally ended and that it will be safe to travel to nearby areas in order to retrieve supplies and to look for any potential survivors. We have a group of praeternaturals that have already volunteered for this scouting mission, but we extend this invitation now to anyone here at this meeting that may wish to join them. However, we must ask that no humans volunteer for this since the virus may yet still be present in the environment."

The crowd was quiet and Theora allowed her gaze to fall over the people. There was no sign of anyone jumping up to volunteer straight away, but Theora did not expect that. She smiled at them and then bowed her head to them. "We understand that this is a step that may cause fear to grip your hearts, but please do not worry. We believe that this decision will benefit us all. If any of you would like to volunteer for this expedition, please contact any one of the council members with your intentions." She bowed to them again and then looked to Dylan and Constance to see if they had anything to add. When it was determined that there was not, the meeting was adjourned and everyone left to go about the rest of their day.

*note* - if you'd like to have your character volunteer for the scouting mission, please have them leave a note to any member of the head council so that they may discuss it in game ^_^ **
